Vancouver, B.C. -- Desert Gold Ventures Inc. ("Desert Gold" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that Mr. Deepen Ram has been appointed to the Board of Directors, effective September 1, 2008.
Mr. Ram is a former institutional broker and fund manager, having worked for a major Japanese investment bank and private asset management firm in Geneva. His experience covers Institutional and private companies in portfolio management and trading. He has management experience in marketing, finance, and business development, and has been active in introducing North American and Foreign companies to European institutional investors.
Mr. Ram holds a bachelor’s degree from Pacific University and a master’s degree from Webster University, and has been appointed as director and vice-chairman of the Company.
Desert Gold feels that Mr. Ram’s appointment will bring depth and breadth of knowledge in view of the Company’s corporate development.
